My father, Rick Haley, took this photo of my mother and me with Elvis.

I was two years old and had just kissed Elvis on the cheek. Someone walked in front of the camera as Dad took the shot so he called for a retake. Elvis was saying to me, "It's alight, it's alright." He leaned over presenting his cheek to me but instead I turned my head away, saying, "NO!" If you want to know the story behind the Johnny Cash photo, send me an email request. You won't believe what happened!

Me and Marty Robbins!

Dad took me with him on 80% of his Photo shoots, and so I met many Nashville's Artists, and can recall lots of stories.

Dad's photos embody far more than Elvis and Johnny. His Nashville Collection includes the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole' Opry House, WSM, RCA Records, Capitol Records and those who performed and recorded there, including: George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Porter Wagoner, Hank Williams Jr. Marty Stuart, Connie Smith, Skeeter Davis, Charlie Pride, Charlie McCoy, Minnie Pearl, Dottie West, Ralph Emory and Roy Clark, Stringbean, George Jones and Glenn Campbell. Hank Williams, Dolly Parton and Ricky Nelson. I couldn't even begin to cover the 571 artists and 30,000 photos in one book, so I hope you enjoy these and want you to look forward to more books to come in this series from The Nashville Collection!
